Researchers at the University of Alabama, Birmingham reexamined 644 patients (average age 69) who had undergone a dilated eye exam by an ophthalmologist or optometrist and discovered that fully 25 percent of those whose eyes had been deemed to be normal actually showed signs of AMD, the leading cause of irreversible for Americans age 50 and older in the U.S.

What can you do?
Well if 1/4 eye doctors are missing the diagnoses of macular degeneration that means that you need to see 4 doctors before getting a correct diagnosis! I have a better solution. If you are over he age of 60 or having a decrease in vision just assume that you already have early macular degeneration. Why do I say this? Macular degeneration is an aging process and we can’t stop the clock from ticking but we can slow he aging process. So I say to you begin the essentials to slow the aging process.
